We want the site and the printed pages to be usable by as many people as possible.
What we do
- Every control in the makers has a visible label and can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA color contrast.
- The page is responsive and works when zoomed to 200%.
- Animations are minimal and switch off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Printed pages use high-contrast black lines and large, clear letters, and print well in black and white.
Known limitations
- The live preview of a printable is a picture of the page. A screen reader announces the maker’s status message, such as how many words were placed, but cannot read a puzzle grid cell by cell.
- The makers need JavaScript.
