Free printable paper, drawn to true size
This printable paper is drawn for the sheet it will be printed on, not stretched to fit. A quarter-inch grid measures a quarter inch, college ruled lines sit 9/32 of an inch apart, and a 5 mm dot grid is exactly 5 mm, whether you choose US Letter, A4 or A5. That matters for maths homework, technical drawing and bullet journals, where a grid that is slightly off quickly adds up.
Start from one of the ready-made pages below, or open the paper maker to set your own spacing, line colour, weight and margins, then download up to ten identical pages in one PDF for a notebook or a class set.
In short: printable paper covers lined, graph, dot grid, isometric and handwriting sheets plus specialty grids such as polar, log and music paper. For accurate spacing, print at 100% or “actual size” rather than “fit to page”, and choose the paper size that is loaded in your printer.

Printing tips so the scale stays true
- Print at 100%. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” or 100%, never “Fit to page”.
- Match the paper. Pick Letter, A4 or A5 in the maker to match the paper in the tray.
- Check with a ruler. Measure ten squares on the first page before printing a class set.
- Go light. Gray or light blue lines save ink and keep writing easy to read.
- Print both sides. Duplex printing turns the PDF into a lighter notebook.
The A sizes follow the ISO 216 standard: A4 is 210 by 297 mm and A5 is exactly half of it, 148 by 210 mm. US Letter is 8.5 by 11 inches.
What you can change in the paper maker

Frequently asked questions
8 quick answers
Is this printable paper free?
Yes. Every sheet of printable paper here is free to download and print for home, school or work, with no account needed.
What is the difference between college ruled and wide ruled?
College ruled lines are 9/32 inch (7.1 mm) apart, while wide ruled lines are 11/32 inch (8.7 mm) apart. Wide ruled suits younger writers; college ruled fits more on the page.
What size is standard graph paper?
In the US, standard school graph paper is quarter-inch, with four squares per inch. Outside the US, 5 mm and 1 cm grids are more common.
Why does my printed grid measure slightly wrong?
Your printer is probably scaling the page. Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print settings and make sure the paper size in the maker matches the paper in the printer.
Can I print dot grid paper for a bullet journal?
Yes. Pick the 5 mm option, which is the spacing most bullet journals use, and set the size to A5.
Can I print several pages at once?
Yes. The maker can put 1, 2, 5 or 10 identical pages in one PDF.
Where is the free printable paper for handwriting practice?
Use the handwriting paper page. It prints red and blue lines with a dotted midline in five row heights, from 1 inch for preschool to 3/8 inch for grade 3 and up.
Can I make printable grid paper with my own spacing?
Yes. Choose Custom spacing and enter any gap between 1 mm and 100 mm.
