How to play jewellery bingo at a kitty party

  1. Give every guest a different card and a pen.
  2. The host calls an item, or reads its clue, and ticks it on the caller list.
  3. Players mark the item if it is on their card.
  4. The first line, the four corners or the full card wins a prize.
  5. The host checks each winning card against the caller list.

Jewellery bingo for different groups

Jewellery bingo is easy to adapt. For a younger group, add items such as “Sneakers”, “Tote bag” and “Hair clip”. For a bridal party, add “Chooda” and “Haath phool”. For a mixed group, keep to the starter list.

How long does fashion bingo last?

The starter list has only 36 items, and a 5 by 5 card holds 24 of them, so the game is quick. The simulation below shows the call at which each prize is usually won, with 10, 20 and 40 players and the middle half of results in brackets.

Card Players First line (call) Four corners (call) Full card (call)
5 by 5 10 players 13 (11 to 15) 20 (16 to 23) 34 (33 to 35)
5 by 5 20 players 12 (10 to 13) 17 (14 to 19) 34 (33 to 34)
5 by 5 40 players 10 (9 to 12) 14 (12 to 17) 33 (32 to 34)
4 by 4 10 players 12 (10 to 14) 20 (16 to 22) 32 (31 to 33)
4 by 4 20 players 11 (9 to 12) 17 (14 to 20) 31 (30 to 32)
3 by 3 10 players 9 (7 to 11) 20 (16 to 23) 28 (26 to 30)
3 by 3 20 players 7 (6 to 9) 17 (14 to 19) 27 (24 to 28)

A first line usually arrives after about 12 calls, which is a game of 4 minutes if you call an item every 20 seconds. If you want a longer game, add 10 to 20 more items to the list, such as sneakers, hair clips and sarees by region.

Fashion theme kitty party games

Fashion theme kitty party games are a natural fit for a monthly kitty, because everyone brings their own style. Ask guests to wear their favorite piece of jewellery, and give a small prize for the most original. Play the bingo as a warm-up, and then a round of handbag bingo, where guests mark items they find in their bags, for a lively second game.

Ladies kitty games with a style theme

Ladies kitty games with a style theme can fill an evening. After the bingo, try a saree draping contest, a jewellery quiz or a “guess the price” game. Keep the prizes small and the mood light, so that the host and the guests enjoy it equally.

Jewellery game kitty ideas

For a jewellery game kitty, ask each guest to bring a piece of jewellery with a story and tell it in a sentence. The best story wins. Use the bingo list as a source of words: if “Mangalsutra”, “Payal” or “Toe rings” is on the card, a guest can tell a story about it.

Run fashion jewellery bingo in six steps

  4. Mark: players mark each item they have on their card.
  5. Check: when someone shouts bingo, check the items against the caller list.
  6. Reward: give a prize for the line, the corners and the full card.
