Weekly Planner Printable

A free printable weekly planner with seven lined day boxes and a top priorities box, dated or undated, as a PDF.

This weekly planner printable puts the whole week on one page: a lined box for each day and an eighth box for your top priorities or notes. Leave it undated to reuse it every week, or pick a start date and print up to 12 weeks in a row. Choose a Monday or Sunday start, seven color themes or black and white, and US Letter or A4, then download a free weekly planner template as a PDF.

Weekly planner printable: 4 ready versions

Download a free weekly planner PDF straight away: an undated navy planner for Monday to Sunday, a dated planner for the first week of 2027 on A4, a Sunday-start planner with a notes box, or a black-and-white version that saves ink. Each page has big lined boxes you can write in, so this printable weekly planner works for work, school and home.

How to use a weekly planner printable

  1. Write the fixed things first: on Sunday evening, add school, work shifts, lessons and appointments to the day boxes.
  2. Add your three priorities: write the three most important tasks of the week in the priorities box.
  3. Give each priority a day, so the week has a plan and not just a list.
  4. Check it every morning: a two-minute look at today’s box tells you what matters most.
  5. Tick and move forward: at the end of each day, tick what is done and move anything unfinished to a day with space.

A sample week: what to write in each box

Here is how three different people might fill the same weekly planner printable. Copy the pattern and change the entries to match your own life.

5 ways to use a weekly planner printable

  • The big three: write only three priorities for the week, and do not add a fourth until one is done.
  • Time blocking: write a start time next to each task, so the weekly planner doubles as a rough schedule.
  • Theme days: give each weekday a focus, such as Monday for planning, Tuesday for writing, Wednesday for meetings and Friday for review.
  • Color coding: use one pen color for work, one for family and one for health and fitness.
  • Buffer boxes: leave one box on Thursday or Friday half empty for tasks that slip.

These ideas come from the wider field of time management, which Wikipedia’s time management article summarizes, from lists and calendars to the Eisenhower matrix.

A 15-minute weekly review

A weekly planner printable works best when it is paired with a short review at the end of the week. Set a timer for 15 minutes on Friday afternoon or Sunday evening and go through this list:

  1. Look back at last week’s page and tick what you finished.
  2. Move anything unfinished to this week, or cross it out if it no longer matters.
  3. Check the month ahead on a printable calendar for birthdays, trips and deadlines.
  4. Write next week’s fixed appointments in the day boxes.
  5. Choose your three priorities for next week.

Pick the first Monday of the year as the start date and choose 12 pages to print three months at a time. For 2027, the first Monday is January 4, and the 52 weekly pages then start on these dates:

Print run Starts on Ends on
Weeks 1 to 12 (12 pages) Monday, January 4, 2027 Sunday, March 28, 2027
Weeks 13 to 24 (12 pages) Monday, March 29, 2027 Sunday, June 20, 2027
Weeks 25 to 36 (12 pages) Monday, June 21, 2027 Sunday, September 12, 2027
Weeks 37 to 48 (12 pages) Monday, September 13, 2027 Sunday, December 5, 2027
Weeks 49 to 52 (4 pages) Monday, December 6, 2027 Sunday, January 2, 2028

To find the right dates for any year, use the 2027 calendar or the 2028 calendar, and check the ISO week number on today’s date.
