This blank calendar printable has a line for the month and the year and a small circle in each box for the date, so you can print a stack once and use it for any month of any year. It works as a blank monthly calendar for planning, an undated calendar template for projects and a fill in calendar printable for teaching children how a calendar works.
Options in the maker above: start the week on Sunday or Monday, choose a color theme or black and white, pick US Letter or A4, and add a title such as “Homework” or “Training plan”.
Blank calendar printable: 3 ready PDFs
Download a Sunday-start or Monday-start blank calendar printable, or the black-and-white template for photocopying. The fourth card lists the first day of every month in 2027, which is all you need to fill in a blank calendar correctly.

How to fill in a blank monthly calendar
- Write the month and year on the lines at the top.
- Find the first day: check which weekday the 1st falls on. In 2027, January starts on a Friday and February on a Monday; the card above lists every month, or use the day of the week calculator.
- Number the circles: write 1 in the circle under that weekday and count on, one box at a time.
- Stop at the last day: 30 days for April, June, September and November; 31 for the other months, except February with 28, or 29 in a leap year such as 2028.
- Add your plans in the space under each circle.
The grid has six rows, enough for any month, even one that starts on a Saturday and has 31 days. Unused boxes at the end are handy for notes.
Undated calendar template ideas
Because it has no dates, an undated calendar template fits plans that do not start on the 1st of a month:
- 30-day challenges: reading, drawing, fitness or saving challenges that start on any day.
- Habit tracking: tick one box for every day you keep a new habit.
- Meal plans: write a dinner in each box for a month of easy planning.
- Shift and rota planning: fill in who works or volunteers on which day.
- Future planning: map out a month in a year that dated calendars do not cover yet.
Fill in calendar printable for the classroom
Filling in a blank calendar is one of the best ways for children to learn how a calendar works. Young students learn the days of the week in order, see that months have different lengths and practice writing numbers to 31. A fill in calendar printable at the start of each month makes a quick morning activity:
- Write the month and year together on the board.
- Find the first day as a class, then let children number the circles.
- Add birthdays, holidays and special days, and color the weekends.
- Each morning, cross off the day as part of calendar time.
Pair it with the daily calendar time worksheet, the weather worksheets and the hundreds chart for counting the days of school. Wikipedia’s calendar article explains how months and weeks came to be.
Blank calendar printable tips
- Print a stack: a blank calendar printable never goes out of date, so print twelve at once and keep them in a folder.
- Laminate one: use a dry-erase marker and wipe it clean each month for a reusable wall calendar.
- Color-code: one color for work or school, one for family and one for appointments.
- Bind a planner: staple twelve sheets with a cover for a homemade undated planner that can start in any month.
- Save ink: the black-and-white blank calendar printable photocopies cleanly for a whole class.
Sunday or Monday start?
In the United States and Canada, most wall calendars start the week on Sunday. In the UK, Europe and Australia, Monday is the usual first column, which matches the international ISO week. Choose whichever matches the other calendars in your home or classroom, so dates line up when children compare them. Weekend columns are shaded either way, so they stand out from school or work days.
Blank calendar or dated calendar?
A blank calendar is reusable and flexible, but it takes a minute to fill in. If you want the dates and holidays printed for you, the calendar maker prints any month from 2025 to 2030 with holidays, and the 2027 calendar page has ready-made PDFs for the whole year.
Blank calendar printable for work and home
At work, a blank calendar printable is a quick way to plan a project that crosses two months, a staff rota or a content schedule: number only the days you need and leave the rest for notes. Teams often pin one sheet per month by the coffee machine so everyone can see deadlines and time off. At home, families use a blank monthly calendar for chores, screen-time goals, sports practice and pickup times, with one color per person. Students can turn an undated calendar template into a revision timetable, writing one subject in each box and ticking it off when done. Because nothing is pre-printed, the same sheet works in any country and for any year.
