What is in the Starbucks nutrition data file?
The Starbucks nutrition CSV has 630 data rows and 19 columns. Every row is one item at one size, so a drink that comes in Tall, Grande and Venti appears three times. The first row holds the column names, text is UTF-8, and numbers use a period as the decimal mark, so it opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, Python and R.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
item_key, name |
A stable identifier and the menu name, for example Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. |
menu_group, category |
The group (Coffee, Tea, Refreshers, Frappuccino, Other drinks, Food) and the Starbucks category inside it. |
temperature |
Hot, Iced, Single (food) or Packaged. |
item_type |
drink, food or packaged. |
size, fluid_oz |
The size name (Short, Tall, Grande, Venti, Trenta, or the food portion) and its volume in fluid ounces when Starbucks lists one. |
calories |
Energy in kilocalories for the standard recipe. |
total_fat_g, saturated_fat_g, trans_fat_g |
Fat in grams. |
cholesterol_mg, sodium_mg |
Milligrams. |
carbs_g, fiber_g, sugars_g |
Total carbohydrates, dietary fiber and total sugars in grams (total sugars include the lactose in milk). |
protein_g, caffeine_mg |
Protein in grams and caffeine in milligrams. |
The file covers 179 drinks, 33 food items and 5 packaged items. All of the values are the standard recipe as Starbucks lists it, with no changes to milk, syrup or toppings.
How many calories does a typical drink have, by menu group?
In the Starbucks nutrition data, the 154 drinks that come in a Grande (16 fl oz) have a median of 205 calories. The spread between groups is large: brewed tea sits near zero, while Frappuccinos and sweet espresso drinks sit well above the middle.
| Menu group (Grande drinks) | Drinks | Median calories | Highest calories | Median sugar (g) | Median caffeine (mg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coffee | 66 | 225 | 470 | 23.5 | 170 |
| Tea | 44 | 215 | 400 | 27 | 55 |
| Refreshers | 22 | 140 | 180 | 28 | 88 |
| Frappuccino | 15 | 380 | 480 | 52 | 85 |
| Other drinks | 7 | 260 | 370 | 37 | 0 |

Food is separate: the 33 food items have a median of 290 calories each, from 90 calories at the low end to 640 at the top.
Which Grande drinks top the lists?
These tables come straight from the Starbucks nutrition data and use the Grande size, so every drink is compared at the same 16 fl oz. Each name opens that drink in the calculator, where you can change milk, pumps and toppings.
Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, Iced Dubai Chocolate Mocha and Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino have the most calories of any Grande drink in the file, between 470 and 480.
| Drink (Grande) | Calories | Sugar (g) | Caffeine (mg) |

| Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino (iced) | 480 | 55 | 95 |

| Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha (iced) | 400 | 45 | 60 |
| Iced Banana Protein Cream Matcha (iced) | 400 | 38 | 55 |
Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino has the most sugar at 65 g, ahead of Horchata Frappuccino (61 g). The file lists total sugars, so lactose from milk is included.

How was this Starbucks nutrition data collected?
The Starbucks nutrition data comes from the nutrition information Starbucks publishes for its US menu, read through the same public data that powers the menu pages and collected on 2026-10-14. The calculator and this file share one data source, so a number in the file matches the Starbucks nutrition facts you see when you pick the same drink and size in the Starbucks calorie calculator.
The file does not include customizations. A swap from 2% milk to oat milk, an extra pump of syrup or a different amount of whipped cream changes the numbers, and the calculator estimates those changes with a model that is validated to within about 10 calories on milk swaps. Menus also change: seasonal drinks come and go, and Starbucks adjusts recipes. Check starbucks.com for the current value of a single drink before relying on it.
For one drink, the Starbucks menu nutrition on starbucks.com is the final word, and it can differ from this file after a recipe change.
PrintSheetLab is not affiliated with Starbucks. Nutrition facts are the property of their publisher, and this file is a compilation for reference, study and personal use.
How can you use or cite the file?
You can use the CSV in articles, class projects, spreadsheets and apps for free. Please link to this page when you publish the Starbucks nutrition data, so readers can see the date and the method. A copy-and-paste citation:

The file is also archived on Zenodo with a permanent identifier, so a citation keeps working if this page moves: 10.5281/zenodo.23376672. A copy with a README is on GitHub and on Kaggle.
A few things work well with the file. Sort the sugars column to see which orders carry the most, filter by temperature to compare hot and iced versions of the same drink, or add a column that divides calories by fluid ounces to compare cups of different sizes. Students use it for charting and simple statistics, writers use it to check a number before publishing, and app builders use it as a starting list of menu items to which they add their own serving logic.
If you want the calculator itself rather than the file, you can embed the Starbucks calorie calculator on your own page. The embed code is free and includes a small credit line.
Related guides use the same numbers: Starbucks cup sizes shows what each size holds, the secret menu computes popular custom orders, and the holiday drinks guide tracks the seasonal menu.

Frequently asked questions
5 quick answers

Yes. You can download the file, open it in a spreadsheet and use it in articles, school work and apps without paying or signing up. Please link back to this page when you publish numbers from it, so readers can see the collection date and method.
How often is the Starbucks nutrition data updated?

Can I use the Starbucks nutrition data in an app?
You can use it for personal or educational projects with a link back. Because the nutrition facts belong to Starbucks and change over time, show the collection date in your app and link to starbucks.com for the current value.
